Back to the beach

I'm home, woohoo! I had a good time in the big N.O. with family and friends, but it's good to be home.

Went to White Linen Night the first weekend with Moni... it's an annual thing thru most of Julia St where there's gallery openings and museums and stuff. Saw a lot of great art, even some things I would have liked to buy. But with my budget, well, ya know... Anyways, we even witnessed a fight, that was crazy! This picture's from Julia & Magazine... the city can really be pretty, even after all the Katrina crap.

There was a lot of hanging around the house, especially with my (not so) little nephew, Baldur. Yes, folks, that is ALL belly!


Went to the aquarium a few days ago. It just reopened not too long ago from the hurricane. Some of the exhibits were closed, but I forgot what a great aquarium we had. Sure kicks the Corpus aquarium's boo-tay... Corpus may have dolphins, but I really enjoyed the penguins. :)

So now I'm excited to be back with Robert again. I think I'm going to look for a part time job, maybe at a bookstore or something. At this point it's not so much about money or the gap in the resumé as it is about having something to do. :P Cuz it's just scary how addicted I am to myspace! :) Can't wait to make it back to the beach... if y'all wanna visit you better come on down, cuz Robert and I won't be stationed here forever!
